Hello Educators,

Thank you to members who joined listening sessions with Bargaining Team members. Your energy helped us maintain our spirits during our 13 hour day at the District Office.

We spent the day combing through the District's most recent proposals in search of areas we can find movement towards agreement with the District.

Your bargaining team provided an update to our Student Centered package that included updates on Articles 2, 6, 8, 12 and the Special Education article supposals at 4:15pm. We made positive moves on those priorities you shared were important to you at this week’s listening sessions, as well as through your advocacy and organizing.

Your bargaining team understands we have been given a mandate by our membership when out of 3,492 votes, 3,454 of our members voted yes to authorize a strike. We hear you loud and clear: We need a tentative agreement that makes dramatic gains in COLA, workload relief, and the support our students need.

At 9:35pm, PPS management gave us a small package from the district that continued to indicate that their unwillingness to engage on any of the issues that are most important to all of us.

In Solidarity,
Your Bargaining Team
