When investors bought the Normandy Apartments in December, their first act was to double the rent. Now 18 families and over 30 kids in the Normandy Apartments, located close to Rigler Elementary, are now in danger of losing their homes. Similar situations are unfolding all over Portland, with hundreds of families being displaced by rising rents and “no cause” evictions.
The Normandy residents are fighting back and they need our support. Join us for a march on February 25th, calling on their landlord for a fair rent and stability for these families. The march begins at 12:30 PM at the Normandy Apartments (4605 NE Killingsworth St.) and ends at Rigler Elementary at 2:00 PM for a rally, food, and fun!
