PAT is conducting a listening campaign and it’s going great!
On Friday, October 27th, we were out listening to our colleagues at seven schools: Atkinson, Creston, Duniway, Grout, Lewis, Richmond, and Winterhaven. That brings our total to nine schools, but we’ve got lots of ground to cover.
We set an ambitious goal of talking with 75% of our members about what’s working in our schools, and what’s getting in the way of teaching and learning. We are currently working with the District to figure out if there is a way to do this work more expediently.
With so much going on, both in PPS and in education nationwide, there couldn’t be a better time to talk seriously with our members about the challenges they’re facing and their hopes for the future.
The more volunteers we have, the faster we can reach every member. If you’re interested in being a listener and helping out with this project please sign up here.
Thank you to everyone who has volunteered so far: Ailien Tran, Madeleine Allen, Angela Bonilla, Greg Burrill, Charity Powell, Elizabeth Israel-Davis, Huck Wilken, Kathy Paxton-Williams, Julie Pedersen, Philip Rafferty, Rosie O’Hara, Shannon Kittrick-Sylvain, Tina Lamanna, Mike Bauer, Lizzy Docken, and Zach Vestal.
