Oregon Teacher of the Year Nominations

Every day, educators across the city do amazing work despite the many challenges and obstacles we face, from old buildings with failing heat and no drinkable water to inadequate supplies or non-existent curricula. At PAT we see what you accomplish every day, which is why working with all of you is such an honor

There is a push this year to expand the number of nominations for Oregon Teacher of the Year. We hope each of you will take a moment to reflect on the efforts of your colleagues and nominate one or more for this award.

The nomination period for Oregon Teacher of the Year program closes at the end of January. Anyone can nominate a teacher, and all Oregonians are encouraged to nominate their favorite teacher today at oregonteacheroftheyear.org

Why not take a moment to recognize the superb work all of you do?

The Oregon Teacher of the Year for 2018 is PAT member Matthew Bacon-Brenes, who teaches at Mt. Tabor Middle School.

Wouldn’t it be great if we made it two in a row?
