Last week, the National Council of Urban Education Associations met in Portland. Union activists and officers from all over the country came together to talk about supporting our students and defending our profession.

Attendees were outraged to hear about the challenges we’ve had settling a fair contract and offered their help on a variety of fronts. First and foremost they filled out postcards that we will deliver to the superintendent and signed a banner now hanging in the PAT office.
